National Assembly Speaker; Gbajabiamila Showered Praises On Hon. Skimeh Over Road Projects


Today is an epoch making day in the history of the ancient city of Oyo Alaafin,as the Honourable Speaker of the National Assembly,Rt Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, touched down in Oyo town to commission a total of three road projects out of the six facilitated, through the influence of Honourable Prince Akeem Adeyemi of the All Progressives Congress (APC).





The commissioning event,was attended by important personalities from all walks of life, including serving House of Representatives members from Oyo State, notably among whom are Honourable Shina Abiola Peller and Honourable Tolulope Sadipe-Akande.

Leading the dignitaries that welcomed the Honourable Speaker to Oyo town were the duo of Distinguish Senator Tesleem Kolawole Folarin of Oyo Central and his counterpart from Oyo North Senatorial District, Senator AbdFatai Buhari.

The number four citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria paid homage to the foremost Yoruba ruler who doubles as the father of the Honourable Prince Adeyemi at his Palace.


The Royal Father in his welcoming address, appreciated the Honourable Speaker for always associating with Oyo town in the quest of the ancient town to reach the zenith of development.

Later,the Honourable Speaker was led to Kosobo , Boroboro and Koso to commission the roads. He used the opportunity to commend the leadership acumen of Honourable Adeyemi, charging him to continue to do more.



Bishop Ayo Ladigbolu, of the Oyo Metropolitan Development Association – an umbrella body for Oyo sons and daughters, appreciated the Honourable Speaker,at Akesan Garage,and make a twin request for the upgrade of Federal College of Education (special),Oyo to a degree awarding institution,and speedy completion of works at Erelu Dam Oyo ,so that the ancient city can have access to portable water through out its four Local Government. The Honourable Speaker in turn gave his words that all legislative apparatus will be set to motion in order to meet the requests tabled on behalf of Oyos by the retired Bishop.
